About the Artist
abu muhmmad (Anas Maghrebi) is a Syrian musician/producer based in Berlin. He
co-founded Syrian rock band Khebez Dawle in 2012 and co-produced
their debut album while serving as the lead singer. Collaborated on and
organized many musical projects and events in Beirut, Lebanon, then
later in Berlin, Germany. Composed and produced the album "Ici",
commissioned by Berlin-based artist Saadane Afif in 2018. Anas wrote,
recorded, and produced his first solo album "Daftar Layli", which he
released late 2021. Besides his solo project, Anas has been releasing
beats and bootlegs as well as having performed DJ sets under the alias
"abu muhammad" in Europe -mainly Germany. As abu muhammad, he
took part in the Syria edition of Boiler Room, which was filmed in
Berlin late 2022, and released in April 2024. His latest project is Syrian
synth pop band “Jazeera 10”, which he co-founded with friends in Berlin
early 2024. Jazeera 10 has released three EPs, one video live session,
and one single so far. Anas serves as the lead singer/songwriter.
