Nurah Farhat
About the Artist
Nurah is an Egyptian audiovisual artist, game developer and VJ.
She started animation for the purpose of VJing in the electronic/club/culture scene in Cairo in 2014 and focused on traditional and generative animation, sound, and game development. Her solo AV game “KINDASA” was awarded an Honorary mention at the Prix Ars Electronica 2025 for innovation in Digital Musics and Sound Art.
Her visuals and process are influenced by a years-long collaboration with artist M.I.A. on various graphics and animations since 2018. As part of her core team, Nurah co-creates, VJs and co-ordinates her super-dynamic shows live worldwide since 2022.
